JEWELLERY CARE

Answer richtext

Answer richtext

  • Protect Pearls from abrasive surfaces, sharp objects that may lead to scratching, denting, and scuffing, including other jewellery.

  • Avoid wearing pearls in water. Water exposure from swimming, showering, or washing dishes can harm the pearls' lusture and lead to deterioration.

  • Never clean pearls with steam or ultrasonic jewellery cleaners. Both of these methods are likely to damage the outer layer of the pearl.

  • After every wear, wipe your pearls with a soft cloth. This will help prevent any buildup of oils or other substances that may have come in contact with your jewellery throughout the day.

  • Pearls should be the final touch to your outfit. Avoid applying makeup, hairspray, lotion, or perfume once your pearls are on. Soft pearls are prone to scratches, please store them separate from other jewellery or abrasive objects in a soft fabric-lined compartment. Pearls do best in a moist environment, wear your pearl jewellery frequently to keep them from drying out.

  • Pearls are also sensitive to body acids. Avoid wearing them during strenuous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating.
  • Enameled Jewellery Must Be Worn With Extra Care. Enameled jewellery is delicate and should be worn with extra care to help preserve the integrity of the plated surface. Prevent contact with lotions, oils, perspiration, perfumes, alcohol, acetone, sanitisers, hair products, makeup, and chemical cleaners. Enamel may be compromised by exposure.

  • Enameled jewellery is not scratch-proof. Please keep your plated jewellery away from all abrasive surfaces and objects that may scratch, dent, or chip the enameling.

  • Keep your enamel pieces safe! Store your enamel jewellery in a soft lined jewellery box when not in use. Don't let them mingle with other gems; they might get a little too friendly and end up scratching and damaging each other.

  • Handle With Care. Despite being crafted from quality metals, all precious metals are quite delicate. Even our most colourful pieces should be handled gently. Please avoid banging, scratching, scuffing, bending, denting, or dropping your jewellery.

  • Avoid Contact With Abrasive Surfaces & Substances. Refrain from touching hard, rough, and abrasive surfaces like sand, cement, glass, and stone, as well as various metal objects, including other jewellery.

  • Be mindful of when to remove your jewellery. Avoid wearing it whilst cleaning, gardening, showering, or sports like gym workouts, walking/running, weightlifting, yoga/pilates, swimming etc.

  • Jewellery Should Not Be Worn When Sleeping. Remove all jewellery before going to bed. Avoid sleeping with rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets to prevent potential damage like bending, warping, and breakage of your precious items.

  • Prevent damage to your jewellery by avoiding exposure to hand sanitisers and chemical disinfectants. Remove jewellery before using sanitiser.

  • Avoid extreme heat and cold temperatures. Don't place enameled jewellery near heat or extreme cold to prevent discolouration, deformity, or chipping.

  • To clean enameled jewellery, wipe gently with a soft dry, non-abrasive jewellery cloth. Avoid steam cleaning or ultrasonic cleaners, as they may damage the plating and enamel.
